Air Source Heat Pumps
The Air Source heat pump (ASHP) is a revolutionary approach to domestic heating, by extracting heat from the surrounding air within your home it supplies a cost effective, renewable form of domestic heating.
Why Did Belmont choose it?
It's a renewable form of energy
The air source heat pump exploits geothermal energy, an energy obtained by tapping into the heat generated by the earth itself. But instead of utilising an underground source or water source the Activair heat pump simply uses the surrounding air. Put simply a Belmont Developments home requires significantly less reliance on fossil fuels for its day to day running.
The air source heat pump is easy to install
Ground source heat pumps, wind turbines, solar power, all viable alternative energy sources. However, Belmont Developments decided on an air source heat pump for a number of practical reasons. Unlike ground source heat exchanges air source heat pumps require no excavated wells, buried coils or expensive alterations to land and the energy source relied upon by an air source heat pump is more reliable than that of solar or wind powered alternatives.
Low running costs
When compared with conventional forms of heating an air source heat pump costs no more to run than a conventional boiler. Critically, however, for every unit of energy purchased as electricity it can supply heat up to four times more effectively.
